Virtual Christmas Party - Hot Chocolate

Updated: Oct 15, 2020

How do you celebrate Christmas with your friends and family when you can’t all be in the same place? This year, it’s because of the pandemic. But, in future years, it could be a really good reason, like someone got a fabulous new job or won an all-expense paid trip to a tropical island.

Either way, it doesn’t mean that you have to give up fun or tradition because of circumstances. Here is today’s featured solution:

Have a virtual hot chocolate Christmas party!

Now, let me tell you why this is a good idea. First, it’s really simple to put together. Second, it doesn’t cost much for anyone. Third, it gives everyone a chance to take a break from day-to-day life and enjoy warm, chocolatey, deliciousness in a mug. Fourth...well, I could keep going for an hour, but I’ll stop there. Can see how this could be really good...

So, you’re onboard with the possibility. Now, how do you do it?

First, you grab this fun invitation. The invite will make your party feel less like an everyday Zoom call and more like the party event that it actually is. Also, it gives everyone something to look at, get into a festive mood, and then anticipate the fun that’s coming soon.

Next, consider doing a creative hot chocolate challenge. Some of your guests may choose to go classic or marshmallow. But, others might be ready to try chili pepper and cinnamon, or peppermint. You can offer to send a prize to the person who makes...and drinks...the most creative cup!

Then, during your event, encourage people to share their favorite hot chocolate recipes (whether those are instant out of a box or grandma’s handwritten) and also share some of their favorite Christmas memories. It takes time to drink a cup of hot chocolate (or two). You can all share and laugh as you enjoy your beverages.

That’s it. Hot chocolate in its various forms is easy to find, grab at a grocery store, or have delivered to your home. So, it isn’t a burden on your guests. And, on the off chance someone doesn’t like hot chocolate (whhhhhhy?), they can have coffee or tea and still be just as included.

Now, go get your invites. Don’t forget to check out the collection for more items and the prize options to send to the creative cup winner. (Right now, it’s smiling mugs and more options are coming in the future!)

This is going to be great, and delicious. Have fun.
